Volunteer of the Week

Friday, June 21, 2019 - 10:59 AM

The mid-season period offers a wonderful time for our football community to reflect on the fantastic work done by our many hard working volunteers & recognise them for their outstanding contribution to our great game.

You have the great opportunity to nominate a football volunteer in your club or community. Nominations are open until July 26th, don't miss out on the opportunity to thank and recognise your local club’s amazing volunteers!

As you saw earlier in the week, the Northern Conference will be selecting a Coach and Volunteer of the week based on nominations submitted via the link below:

Our winners will win a prize pack each week, with this week’s Volunteer of the Week receiving a double WAFL Season Pass!

This week’s Volunteer of the Week is Joe Murray from the Quinns Bulls Junior Football Club!

Joe has been nominated the Optus WA Football Volunteer of The Year by a fellow volunteer from his club. To quote Joe’s nomination outlining his fantastic contribution to junior football:

‘Joe is the president of our club. He is always around the to assist and promote football at our club. His achievements this year has seen new lighting at our home ground to allow Friday night games.to be played.’

We congratulate Joe for his efforts & look forward to seeing plenty more nominations fly in over the coming weeks!
