Tigers Holiday Clinic Fun!!

Saturday, April 21, 2018 - 2:00 PM

Last week’s Tigers Holiday Football Clinic was an outstanding success.  Over 150 excited young boys and girls covered Claremont Oval with enough enthusiasm to last the whole season.

Tutored by Claremont league players, that included two Sandover Medallists, participants rotated through a dozen activity stations that ran the entire length of the oval.  Our up and coming footballers not only got a taste of kicking and handballing, they also took on dodge ‘em games, obstacle courses, some tug-o-war and the very popular tackle and marking bags. Capped off with a bouncy castle, a mini match and a tour of the new Claremont Football Club grandstand, it was excitement and fun from start to finish.

All of our participants went away with a super showbag that included a football, player posters and a Claremont junior WAFL membership.  The players kindly stayed on to sign autographs for the kids and tackle on some very tricky questions, posed by inquisitive young minds. Fair to say the players thought that being tackled on the footy field is easier!

Everyone went away with a smile on their face and lots of stories to tell mum and dad. Our sincere thanks to all the Claremont players, the Claremont Football Club and staff from the WAFC who ensured the day ran smoothly.

This clinic was completely booked prior to the event, so make sure you follow the Claremont Football District facebook page for announcements on our next holiday clinic.
